Supporting Economic Self-Sufficiency and Technical Assistance
Assisting women to start and manage small enterprises.
Social challenges such as environmental degradation, food shortage, unclean water and lack of employment opportunities and education can seem insurmountable, or they can alternately inspire businesses that answers a need. Often the only place poor women can make money is in the informal economy in the exchange of goods and services. With no credit, house, land, education, or possessions, Kenyan widows struggle immensely to pay school and medical fees and feed their children, let alone save or build capital.
The Microenterprise Fund helps women access micro-loans allowing them to start small businesses such as selling locally made products. All loan recipients receive training and assistance, becoming economically stable, empowering leaders of their community. This fund gives a woman a chance at economic freedom and independence! Eco Volunteer Travel India supports MicroEmpowered India – EduCARE India for entrepreneurial business and marketing management training which is paramount to the success of any enterprise. We facilitate market research and product development to provide options for the establishment of social enterprises that have a clear path to success.
