Though the rural areas are being connected with the public health system through Rural Healthcare Mission in India, there are still a lot of need gaps that exist as you view it from the grassroot level.
With the changing practices of health care and agriculture in rural areas the preventive health practices are reducing, valuable medicinal plants are also ignored by the rural community over a period of time.
As rural communities are also lacking medicinal facilities at their reach and to promote medicinal intake at the family level itself, medicinal plants have been propagated among the rural families. This initiative is supported by Regional Institute for Indian Systems of Medicine (RI-ISM).
Rural Health Awareness and Assistance Centre has been conceived by Rural HealthCARE India initiative of EduCARE India. People can contribute for infrastructure support, organising and documentation services, community workshops etc.
